10 best vampire games on PC for Lady Dimitrescu and Dracula fans
We'll never get enough of these supernatural creatures. Here're 10 best games about vampires on PC.
Vampire games, as well as movies, tv series and books series about these magnificent bloodsucking creatures, managed to make their mark in pop culture. However, the legends about them have been circulating around for a long time in folk tales. At first, vampires were portrayed as ruthless monsters who couldn’t care less about human life. All they’d care about is calming their desires by drinking blood. As time went on, the approach to soulless ghouls began to change. Increasingly, they were portrayed as suffering, lonely beings who, due to their thirst for blood, were unable to experience happiness. Let's not even talk about how vampires were depicted in the novel "Twilight" and other works of literature alike. In games, however ... There's a different story, at least nothing this soapy.
Here are some noteworthy vampire games. If you like to taste the blood of your enemies every now and then, this article is for you 😉

The action of the first and second part of the vampire game series BloodRayne was set in the 1930s, shortly before the start of World War II. The main character - Rayne, is a half-vampire (dhampi) working as a secret agent of the Brimstone Society. The gameplay in both titles focuses mainly on fighting hordes of enemies.
The fights are very dynamic, as the heroine uses not only melee weapons and firearms, but also her vampire skills. At the end of 2020, Terminal Reality studio remastered both parts of BloodRayne, improving the graphics and implementing support for 4K resolution. Best of all, all owners of the original got the update for free.

It is the latest work of Shift studio, the creators of God Eater action games series. Code Vein in an action RPG with soulslike elements. The game portrays the dystopian future, in which human civilization has collapsed. Only the Revenants, the species that very much resemble the typical image of a vampire, remained alive. These creatures, however, do not fully accept their fate, which is why they travel in order to discover the secrets of the destroyed world.
Contrary to most typical soulslike games, the combat system is much more extensive. The hero has a wide range of character customisation, skills, classes and abilities at his disposal, including Blood Veil. Sucking blood from monsters gives you access to unique power-ups that are total game-changers.

Resident Evil Village

According to the creators, the height of this stylish lady measures up to 2.9 m, which makes her even taller than Nemesis from Resident Evil 3.
Alcina Dimitrescu and her daughters live in a castle towering over an abandoned Romanian village. Ethan Winters, the protagonist, whom you can recognise from RE 7: Biohazard, arrives at the location. The most famous vampire hunter also was lucky enough to get his games. Well, maybe not exactly, because the main character of The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing trilogy is his son. Like father, like son, as the youngster also deals with the extermination of all kinds of monsters.
This vampire game series can be assigned to the action RPG genre, however it also draws some inspiration from hack'n'slashes. Out of the whole trilogy, the first game is the one that deserves the most praise. The next two were not so warmly received, mainly due to the small number of changes introduced by the developers.

The gothic horror game Vampyr tells the story of the doctor Jonathan H. Reid, who returns from the military with the intention of helping Londoners who are suffering from Spanish flu. Moments after arriving in the city, the hero is attacked and ... becomes a vampire. The player who controls it will often face difficult choices, struggling not only with the plague that ravages the city, but also with his own bloodlust.
It is worth considering each decision carefully, as they are not indifferent to the general condition of the city. The biggest disadvantage of this vampire game is its slightly wooden combat system. The unique atmosphere of the devastated city and interesting mechanics make up for these shortcomings.
