10 best cyberpunk games on PC to try out before or instead of Cyberpunk 2077

Dive into dystopian worlds with its high-techs and neon lights. Here's our top 10 cyberpunk games on PC.

Until recent years cyberpunk was not a particularly popular game genre. Highly-rated cyberpunk titles were extremely rare to find. Nowadays cyberpunk games are at its golden age as people are fantasising more and more about the dystopian futuristic setting. The popularity can be explained by the fact that a dark, disturbing future teeming with poverty and high-tech seems to be the most probable scenario for our reality. But let’s hope it’s just cyberpunk aesthetics being trendy. 😅

This trend is especially visible with Cyberpunk 2077 release day being on the horizon. However, with all of the delays the horizon seems to be getting further and further away. The last delay happened after the game went gold and the publisher unravelled a huge promo campaign, which included special buses covered with signature yellow graphics roaming around London. Even the most loyal disciples of CD Projekt Red were unhappy with how much their patience was tested.

Unless yet another delay occurs, we will enter Night City on 10th of December. Whether you gave up on Cyberpunk 2077 or can’t wait to hear „Wake the f*** up Samurai, we have a city to burn” from your monitors, we’ve prepared the list of 10 best cyberpunk games on PC to try. Let the implants and neon signs absorb you. 😉 Have fun playing!

Satellite Reign - the spiritual heir to the Syndicate series

Turns out that cyberpunk themes also work surprisingly great in real-time strategies. Satellite Reign allows players to take command of a team, which consists of four special agents operating in a huge metropolis. The game offers a lot of possibilities and flexibility as each mission can be completed in many different ways.

If you choose violent solutions, bear in mind that law enforcement officers will not remain indifferent to the actions of the heroes, which may significantly hinder the fight against the real enemy. The chunky mechanics of the game have not changed much, but a lot of bugs were fixed and a better graphic design was implemented. As a result the remaining members of a once thriving group were forced to go underground.

Now your main mission is to find the real culprits, clear the reputation of DedSec and to fight the authoritarian regime by recruiting new members. Some may bash on Watch Dogs: Legion for bugs, for lack of multiplayer mode at launch (it’s coming though), but there’s one thing you can’t take away from it. It’s just so much fun to play. It does a great job at entertaining players with new game mechanics and beautiful views of London without pretending to be dead serious.
