Today marks the 10 years anniversary of the original The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim release. To celebrate this event, Bethesda prepared yet another version of the popular RPG. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition features every Creation Club creation content released to date. That means more quest, more armors & weapons and more modes to choose from.

Is it worth buying the game again? That's up to you to decide. However, it's worth noting that all owners of Skyrim Special Edition can acquire the Skyrim Anniversary Edition upgrade at a lower price!

How much is Skyrim Anniversary upgrade?

The recommended retail price of Skyrim Anniversary Upgrade is 60% cheaper compared to the full Anniversary Edition. Bethesda recommended pricing sits at USD $19.99/EUR €19.99/GBP £15.99/AUD $29.95/RUB 1429. Skyrim Anniversary upgrade Steam price is also the same since there is no introductory discount available at launch.

However, you can still save some money if you purchase the DLC from 3rd party official stores like Gamesplanet or Gamersgate. Alternatively, if you don't have the Special Edition in your Steam library, you can always buy the full Anniversary Edition. There are some cheaper options too.

Is Skyrim Anniversary upgrade free?

The owners of the console version of Skyrim Special Edition are getting a free next-gen upgrade that will enhance graphics, improve loading times etc. Unfortunately, PC gamers don't get any free upgrades or graphical enhancements this time. It's worth noting, however, that the Creation Club content is not free on neither of the platforms. If you want to acquire the additional content, you need to purchase the upgrade.
