About Lock 'n Load Tactical Digital: Battle Generator & Editor

Game description

It's More Than Just A Battle Generator and Scenario Editor, It Provides You More Ways To Play.

LnLT Battle Generator and Editor DLC will add features to all owned DLC modules, by allowing you to generate random battles and to design your own scenarios. The Battle Generator allows players to mix and match forces and maps from the different game DLC modules to generate historical and hypothetical battles making some for some very unique battles. For example, Players that own the Heroes of Normandy and Heroes of the Nam DLC modules could have the Viet Cong forces from Heroes of the Nam's face off against the German forces from Heroes of Normandy.

The LnLT Battle Generator provides Pre-defined Unit Costs for all forces in each DLC. The amount of points is defined by the forces and the type of battle you want to generate. The type of battles are Attack, Defend and, Meeting Engagement. A player can then modify up or down the total points available to each side allowing players to play balance one player skill lever against another.

Making Your Own Scenarios
The Scenario Editor is more a Scenario Builder and allows players to design their own scenarios for either the Digital games, Tabletop Simulators or our Board games can use this to build their own scenarios and save them. Players can build their own scenarios by selecting the combat forces, maps, scenario events, victory conditions, and any other special scenario conditions. You are able to add your own images, scenario descriptions, and then players can then save them in either JPG or PDF formats. These scenario files can be used and uploaded to the LnLP Resource area and/or on the Steam workgroup to be shared with other players.

These are some of the planned features we are working on for Battle Generator & Editor.

Scenario Sharing: This feature allows players to share homegrown scenarios with other opponents online through the Lock 'n Load Tactical Digital system. Both players will need to own the same DLC modules in order to be able to play those scenarios alone or together. Scenarios for the digital game can be uploaded to the Steam Workshop.

Time and Weather Conditions: All battles are considered to take place at noon in clear weather as a default. This feature will allow you to select if it is morning, noon, dusk, night and if there is a full moon or no moon. This will affect how many hexes units can see and other weapons that could be available. An example would be having Starshells during night turns. Weather can also reduce a unit's movement rate, and affect how many hexes units can see. Weather will also add some special effects on the screen as well.

Command Play: This feature is for players playing online or head to head. Players at the start of the scenario will select how many Leadership Command points are being given to each side as well as how long each player has to complete his turn. The timer can be from one minute on. Players can set different timer limits per player which can be used to help balance different types of players. An example would be a longer timer for a beginner player compared to a shorter timer for a more advanced player. Once this is set both players would need to confirm the sections before play would start. The purpose of the Leadership Command point allows the player when he wants to reset his timer by doubling the amount of his timer normally allowed. Once the timer runs out that player is consider done.

Map Generator: . There is currently is no way yet to make your own maps but it is a feature we are looking to possibly provide in the near future. This one by far is the most ambitious feature we are working on.

Order of Battle Editor: . Each DLC has its own unit point cost. This feature will allow you to edit these unit point costs and save them for your own purposes.

The LnLT Battle Generator & Editor has been designed to get you into the action fast but also gives you a lot of flexibility to play in many different ways and always your way. LnLT Battle Generator has been tailored to work with all Lock ‘n Load Tactical DLC modules in the series past, present, and future.

Please note that not all features may be available on release but will be added to future updates.
