Will all Insomniac Games titles be ported to PC?

It’s quite possible that we will see other games by Insomniac that are currently available only on Sony consoles. With previous installments about the friendly neighborhood superhero coming to PC, there are hopes for Spider-Man 2 to appear on PC after its release on next-gen consoles. We would not mind seeing Ratchet and his companion, Clank, in action on our PCs. However, it’s difficult to say when it will happen. 

As we know from the examples of the Crash series and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, some former console-exclusive platformers (and exclusives in general) tend to appear on our beloved platform frequently. We think it is reasonable to expect several other productions to follow the same path. We hope that all Insomniac games developed in the future will come out on personal computers.

Best Insomniac games

We probably don’t have to encourage you to give Spidey a chance when both Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and the sequel appeared on PC, but there are a few more titles from Insomniac you can play on personal computers. 

Believe it or not, the developer did a post-apocalyptic TPP shooter Sunset Overdrive. The game doesn’t take itself seriously. When the plot's turning point happens to be an energy drink that changes people into deadly mutants, it’s no wonder. The gameplay is satisfying, as the title allows you to move freely around the area. When it comes to shooting, it’s also spectacular. Thanks to several power-ups (called Amps) and a range of cool guns, you won’t get bored with the game quickly!

The Insomniac games list also includes a Metroidvania adventure with an atmosphere similar to games such as Ori and the Blind Forest, but it’s set… underwater. Songs of the Deep is a stunning title about a girl trying to rescue her father – so she builds a submarine to look for him deep inside the waters. There are several places to explore during her journey, along with difficult bosses. Regular enemies and various obstacles will also require you to think of a strategy to go even further. The game’s controls could be a bit better, but the overall experience is absolutely worth trying out.

There aren’t too many Insomniac games PC yet, but who knows what the future will bring? We’re rooting for the studio to develop a lot more – so that we can then have hundreds of hours of gameplay 😉
