FAQ

A price alert lets you track the price of a specific game. When the game reaches your chosen target price or drops below it, GG.deals will notify you by email, push notification, or in your notification panel. This allows you to stay informed about deals without having to check manually.
Yes, you need to be logged in to create and manage your alerts. This ensures your alert settings are saved to your account and work across all your devices.
You will always receive local notifications on GG.deals. This is enabled by default for all alerts. You can also choose to receive email and browser push notifications, depending on your preferences when setting up the alert.
If a price matches your alert, we will notify you instantly through your GG.deals notification panel and push notifications.

Email notifications take a bit longer. For official stores, you will receive an email within one hour. For keyshops, the email will be sent within 2 to 3 hours, but only if the price remains stable during that time.
Yes, you can manage all your alerts in bulk using the mass selection feature.

Start by clicking the checkbox in the top-left corner above your first alert. This selects all alerts on the current page. Once you do that, a prompt will appear asking if you want to select all alerts across your entire list. Click to confirm, and all your alerts will be selected.

You can then use the action bar at the bottom to choose from “Edit all”, “Pause all”, or “Remove all”, depending on what you want to do.
Not necessarily. Here are a few common reasons:
  1. We only send notifications for future prices. If you set up an alert just now, we won’t notify you about prices that were already available before the alert was created.
  2. Keyshop and marketplace prices tend to fluctuate frequently. To avoid spamming your inbox with short-lived offers, we wait for a keyshop price to remain stable across three consecutive scans before sending an email notification.
  3. We don’t send email notifications for offers you’ve already viewed in your GG.deals notifications panel.
  4. We skip notifications if the same product, from the same store, was already available at the same price or cheaper within the last 14 days. This helps reduce repeated alerts caused by frequent price fluctuations.
Keyshop and marketplace prices can change rapidly. To avoid updating your target price based on a short-lived deal, we wait until the new best price stays the same for at least 3 hours before updating it.
Yes, you can. In your alert settings, set the number of stores and/or DRMs to 0. This prevents the alert from triggering on price changes. If you keep the bundle or subscription notifications enabled, you’ll only be notified when the game appears in one of those.
There are a few ways to reduce the number of notifications you receive without missing important updates.

First, you can limit email frequency in your account settings by enabling the “one email per day” option. This will group your alerts into a single daily message, which helps prevent inbox clutter.

Second, consider editing your alerts to set more selective target prices. By default, the target price is only one cent below the current price. If you have many alerts, especially from keyshops where prices fluctuate often, this can result in a flood of notifications. Setting your target price to 10 or 20 percent below the current price will reduce how often you are alerted and make each notification more meaningful.

Finally, make sure your target price is set to update automatically. This keeps your alerts aligned with current pricing trends and helps avoid unnecessary notifications over time.
As of October 2025, when we introduced keyshops, alerts now require a target price. We no longer support the “any price drop” option because keyshop prices change frequently, and this would lead to a flood of unnecessary notifications.

Using target prices helps keep alerts meaningful and lets you easily compare your target with the current price in your alerts list.

If you still want to be notified for any drop, you can set a very high target price. The maximum allowed is 9999.99 in any currency, and any price below that will trigger a notification.
