Keyboard Controls
Spacebar: Start/Stop the Sequencer.
Enter: Access the Main Menu.
Mouse Controls
Use the mouse to click buttons, select patches from dropdown menus, set pattern repeats, and adjust slider values for fine-tuning your sound.
Interface Elements
1. Step Indicator LEDs [1-16]
Visually track the current step of the sequence. Press the Spacebar to start and stop playback. Copy a step's value by clicking its indicator, and paste it to another by clicking its indicator.
2. Step Buttons [1- 16]
Trigger drum sounds on each channel by turning steps on or off. Each channel features a dedicated set of 16 step buttons for creating nuanced rhythms.
3. Pattern Buttons [1-16]
Select and switch between different patterns. In Song Mode, patterns play sequentially, allowing you to create song structures. Pattern changes in Song Mode are quantized to the end of the bar.
4. User Buttons
Song Mode Button: Enables sequential playback of patterns.
Save Button: Saves your changes to the current song. Saving happens automatically on program close.
Load Button: Loads a previously saved song.
Copy Button: Copies the currently selected pattern.
Paste Button: Pastes the copied pattern to another pattern.
Clear Button: Clears the currently selected pattern.
5. Pattern Repeats
In Song Mode, these settings control how many times a pattern repeats (x1, x2, x3, or x4) before the sequence progresses to the next pattern. Click on the repeat number to increase its value.
6. Matrix Section
Drum Matrix: Input steps across all drum channels without switching, with channels displayed vertically and steps horizontally.
Synth Matrix: Input steps on the selected synth channel. Notes/pitch are shown on the vertical axis, and steps on the horizontal.
7. Matrix Switch
Toggles between the Drum Matrix and the Synth Matrix. The active matrix is indicated by an LED.
8. Patch Drop Down Menu
Select the sound/patch for the active channel. Choose from 27 different sounds, including a variety of electronic and acoustic percussive sounds. A sound can be loaded on multiple channels.
9. Channel Selection Slider
Choose the active channel. The selected channel is displayed in the text and highlighted in the mixer section. There are 16 available channels.
10. Drum Dancers [1-16]
Each drum channel visualizes the programmed rhythm with a responsive dancer animation.
11. FX Buttons
Tape FX Button: Applies a classic tape stop effect. Toggle off to resume playback.
LFO FX Button: Randomizes the pitch of all steps, adding unique variation.
12. Global Sliders
Control parameters applied across all channels, including Pitch, Delay Time, Reverb, Delay, LPF (Low Pass Filter), HPF (High Pass Filter), Distortion, and Volume.
13. BPM Slider
Set the BPM (beats per minute) to control the playback speed of the sequencer.
14. Channel Sliders
Shape the sound of the active channel with controls for Pitch, Decay, Reverb, Delay, LPF (Low Pass Filter), HPF (High Pass Filter), Distortion, and Flanger.
15. Synth Mixer Mutes [1-16]
Mute or unmute synth channels 1-16. The channel number lights up when a sound is triggered.
16. Synth Mixer Pan
Set the stereo panning for synth channels 1-16.
17. Synth Mixer Volume
Adjust the volume level for synth channels 1-16.
18. Drum Mixer Mutes [1-16]
Mute or unmute drum channels 1-16. The channel number lights up when a sound is triggered.
