This DLC brings you the iconic, record-breaking Class A4 Pacifics, the streamlined locomotives that revolutionized passenger travel on the UK's East Coast Main Line. Experience the power and elegance of these legendary "Streaks" in your Train Simulator world.

Inspired by the German "Flying Hamburger," Sir Nigel Gresley pioneered a British equivalent, resulting in the magnificent Class A4s. These locomotives, designed for prestigious high-speed passenger runs from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh, showcased innovation with both internal and external streamlining. Featuring improved coal and water efficiency, as well as a Kylchap double chimney, they became renowned for their aerodynamic profile and impressive performance in this railroad simulator.

Between 1935 and 1938, 35 of these "Streaks" were built, achieving regular service speeds of 90mph (140km/h). More than just fast, they made history. In August 1936, the Silver Fox reached 113mph (182km/h), then the highest recorded speed for a regular passenger train. But their crowning achievement was on July 3rd, 1938, when Mallard broke the world steam locomotive speed record at 126mph (202.8km/h) on Stoke Bank - a record that still stands today! Now you can recreate this incredible feat in this immersive simulator!

This add-on recreate locomotives from The Great Gathering by the UK’s National Railway Museum. Featuring locomotives both with and without their aerodynamic side fairings, you can experience a special Speed Test scenario between two fixed points on the London to Brighton route, giving you the opportunity to attempt Mallard’s record breaking speed in this realistic train driving experience.

The Class A4 Pacifics are also Quick Drive compatible, enabling you to drive these beautiful locomotives on any Quick Drive enabled route within Train Simulator. Enjoy the freedom to explore diverse landscapes and challenge yourself with various scenarios.
