Experience the raw power and iconic sound of a legendary locomotive with the Train Simulator: DB BR232 Loco Add-On. This DLC puts you in the driver's seat of the BR232, affectionately nicknamed 'Ludmilla', a powerful diesel locomotive beloved by German rail fans.

Originally built in Ukraine between 1970 and 1982, the BR232 (formerly DR Class 132) was a workhorse of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) railways. Part of the DR 130 family, this locomotive was known for hauling heavy freight trains and express passenger services on non-electrified lines, often exceeding 2,000 tonnes. Its robust steel framework design gave it a distinctive, powerful appearance unlike typical German locomotives.

After German reunification, Deutsche Bahn inherited the DR 130 family, continuing their service primarily as freight locomotives, though occasionally used for passenger duties. The 'Ludmilla' became a familiar sight across major German cities like Hamburg, Kassel, Nuremberg, and Kiel.

While most of the DR 130 family has been retired, a few BR232 locomotives still operate, performing Intercity passenger services and freight operations. Now, you can experience the thrill of operating this iconic locomotive in Train Simulator!

This add-on features the BR232 in Deutsche Bahn Orient Red, Traffic Red, and Railion liveries. Experience realistic operation with features like a functioning SiFa driver vigilance system, dynamic braking, switchable fuel pump and drive mode, cab lighting, and sun visors. Haul various cargo with the included Facns, Shimms, and Hbbills freight wagons.

The BR232 Loco Add-On is also Quick Drive compatible, allowing you to drive it on any Quick Drive enabled route in Train Simulator.
