Virtual Handheld leverages industry-standard input simulation to translate XR/VR controller actions into virtual keyboard, mouse, or gamepad commands, providing a seamless and intuitive VR gaming experience. Enjoy the freedom to explore virtual worlds while playing your favorite PC games in VR.

As a SteamVR overlay application, Virtual Handheld seamlessly integrates with other VR apps. Block interactions with other VR applications and redirect inputs to your desktop games. Double-tap your controllers to toggle Virtual Handheld on or off, and access settings via the SteamVR dashboard.

Enhance your multitasking and dual-screen gaming capabilities with the dual-screen function. Display different windows or monitors on each screen for increased productivity or immersive gameplay.

Experience immersive stereoscopic 3D rendering in supported games. Virtual Handheld splits the side-by-side image, delivering a sense of depth for a truly captivating visual experience.

3D Mode Notes:

• Do not enable 3D mode for non-3D content, as it may cause visual discomfort.

• Games without stereoscopic rendering may require mods.

• Side-by-side 3D video and images can also be viewed.

Virtual Handheld supports one-handed use! Enjoy single-handed gameplay with automatic controller tracking and configurable toggles. Presets are available for one-handed layouts with the "Swap" feature for alternate bindings.

Compatibility Notes And Issues:

• Not recommended for ranked/competitive online games due to potential anti-cheat issues. The developer is not responsible for bans.

• May have issues with some VR apps (e.g., Bigscreen Beta). Incompatible applications may experience jittering or tracking problems.

• Not compatible with games that block desktop or window capture.

• Issues may arise when running some games while VR or certain VR apps are running.

• A powerful gaming PC is required. Not recommended for low-spec machines.

• Not recommended for use with games with high-intensity graphics due to performance impacts.

• Supports PCVR only. No plans for standalone Android headsets (Quest, Pico, XR Elite) without a PC connection.

• Linux support is planned but not currently implemented.

Notes On Performance:

• Recommended for games with low performance cost, such as 2D or low-poly games. Consider remote play or cloud play services for modern high-end graphics games.

• Reduce VR resolution in Virtual Handheld Settings ( General > Performance > VR Resolution Scaling) to improve performance.

• Games running on your desktop may affect VR performance.
