A Deep Dive into Typography and Emotion

unWorded is a testament to the beauty and power of typography. We believe that letters can do more than convey meaning; they can create entire worlds. We challenged ourselves to craft an immersive universe from simple letters, and to evoke powerful emotions within it.

Our goal was to explore the mind of a writer, to witness the formation of memories and the surfacing of thoughts. We designed a simple yet engaging mechanic – assembling letters into objects – to trigger key memories and create a sense of intimacy between the player and the author. unWorded delves into complex emotions, particularly grief. Face the stages of grief alongside the author: shock, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally, acceptance.

The story centers around a children's book author hospitalized after a severe accident. As his wife reads his own fairy tales at his bedside, you're drawn into his mind, experiencing his last thoughts and reminiscing about his life and creations, standing with him at death's door in this emotionally charged narrative game.
