Why is Vive a good VR headset?

After the release of the original Vive, we got to see a bunch of upgraded versions of the hardware. Whichever you choose, it’s a line of versatile, premium VR hardware. This is proved both by the quality of materials used for the device and by care put into making it a pleasant, exciting experience. It’s still a bit pricey, yet you can feel where you’ve put your money instantly.

If you’re looking for a VR device on a whole different level and you’re not that much concerned about Vive being a tethered headset (and you don’t worry that it needs external base tracking stations for the full experience), it will serve you well. It’s fairly easy to set up, but keep in mind that you’ll need a decent PC. So, where do we start? There are numerous titles that we could recommend playing, although any HTC Vive VR games can learn a lot from Microsoft Flight Simulator. It’s really a dream come true: sitting in your cockpit and observing the world that looks so much smaller now. The game is often updated and there’s simply so much to see (as in the real world, duh) that you won’t get enough of flying around the globe for hours. Good stuff.

The other title will be something you’re most certainly familiar with. Of course, we’re talking about Skyrim. It’s true that the game has aged a bit and graphics-wise, it’s not mind-blowing at all. Nonetheless, what makes this game special in VR is that you can explore the same big, overwhelming world of the game. Not only do you feel like you’re the Dragonborn, you practically are! It’s still a fantastic RPG and even though it requires some time to get used to playing it that way, the excitement coming from exploring this one more cave didn’t get old at all.

You can, naturally, link your VR library on Valve’s platform with the device, which results in HTC Vive Steam games waiting for you. Be daring and try to find something new, there are many gems that you’re yet to find! Virtual Reality still is in development and there’s no telling what the future of this fascinating technology will bring. As for now, at least there are numerous great titles to play with before it gets even better in the future.
