Navigate the challenging 155-mile (250km) route from Revelstoke to Lake Louise, managing heavy freight trains through the imposing Rocky Mountains. This isn't just a train game; it's a test of engineering and logistical prowess.

The infamous Kicking Horse Pass, with its once-unmanageable 4.5% grades, led to the construction of remarkable spiral tunnels, inspired by the Gotthard line in Switzerland. Today, the route sees a constant flow of freight traffic: coal, potash, sulphur, grain, and double-stack container wagons. While scheduled passenger trains were discontinued in 1991, the route hosts the iconic Rocky Mountaineer tourist train during the summer months. The journey begins 10 miles east of Lake Louise at Eldon, following the Bow River to Morant's Curve – a haven for railfans and photographers. From Lake Louise, the track climbs with grades up to 1.8% to Stephen, at the summit of Kicking Horse Pass. This simulation game offers breathtaking views and technical challenges at every turn.

As you descend towards Golden, navigate the first spiral tunnel, managing a gentler 2.2% grade. The busy coal yard south of Golden sees constant action, with double tracks accommodating the heavy coal traffic to Revelstoke. Enjoy the brief respite along the Columbia River before tackling the climb up Rogers Pass, featuring the spectacular Stone Creek Trestle Bridge, Connaught Tunnel, and the nine-mile (15km) Mount MacDonald Tunnel.
