Powerful Locomotives of Yesteryear

Southern Railway Retro Pack 01 puts you at the helm of four classic diesel locomotives: the Electro-Motive SD40-2, GP35, GP18, and F7. Battle the infamous Saluda Grade (route available separately) with these powerful locomotives, each featuring road-specific details, including the distinctive "Hi-hood" carbody style, and advanced air braking systems. The GP18 is presented in both Southern and Central of Georgia liveries, while the GP35 comes in Southern, Central of Georgia, and Savannah & Atlanta paint schemes.

Authentic Rolling Stock and Equipment

Beyond the locomotives, the pack includes the Southern Railway’s distinctive "receiver" car for mid-train operations, a steel bay-window caboose in two liveries, and a selection of six types of freight rolling stock. These include 40- and 50-foot boxcars, 70-ton hoppers, bulkhead flats, and 40- and 50-foot Airslide covered hoppers, all adorned in a variety of authentic liveries, including Southern, Central of Georgia, Savannah & Atlanta, Norfolk & Western, and Nickel Plate Road.
