Climb aboard and take control of eight different types of Burlington Northern Electro-Motive and General Electric diesels. Master the art of heavy freight hauling, prioritize intermodal transport, manage local deliveries, and conquer complex rail yard switching operations.

The Bozeman Pass route, once a vital segment of the Northern Pacific's main line connecting the Upper Midwest and Pacific Northwest, presents a formidable challenge. From Livingston, Montana, ascend a 1.8 percent grade to the 5,500-foot summit. Experience the historical significance of this route, now a crucial part of the BNSF Railway, in these realistic simulation scenarios.

In Burlington Northern Scenario Pack 01, you will:

• Navigate a heavy unit grain train westbound from Livingston to Trident, Montana, across Bozeman Pass during the autumn grain rush, utilizing a stylish Burlington Northern EMD F45.
• Employ a pair of veteran General Electric U25B "U Boats" to manage a local freight assignment on the Rocky Mountain Division's Fourth Subdivision line toward Butte.
• Experience the "rainbow years" of the Burlington Northern, operating diesels in the colorful liveries of predecessor railroads from the cab of an ex-Northern Pacific General Electric U25C.
• As engineer of regional freight No. 196, handle set-out and pick-up duties at Bozeman, then tackle the west slope of the pass with a lash-up of BN EMD GP30 and GP9 diesels.
• Bring an eastbound empty grain train down the wintry east slope of Bozeman Pass with a quartet of then-new Burlington Northern EMD SD40-2 diesels, yielding to priority westbound traffic.
• Operate a set of BN EMD GP38-2s as engineer of regional freight No. 195, managing set-out and pick-up duties at the massive cement plant in Trident.
• Perform yard and shop switching duties at the historic ex-Northern Pacific Livingston yard and shop complex at the throttle of a venerable BN Electro-Motive GP9.
• Take charge of a trio of BN EMD SD45s and hot BN intermodal Train 4, detouring from its usual ex-Great Northern route to hustle east on the ex-Northern Pacific main line in a two-part eastbound run.
