Health: Taking damage from monsters reduces your health. Protect yourself with armor and replenish health with found items like bandages and first aid kits. Avoiding monsters whenever feasible is a key to survival

Energy: Your energy depletes over time, representing your character's nourishment. Replenish it by finding and consuming essences scattered throughout the world.
