Initially conceived as a dual-voltage locomotive, the BR 181.2 was designed to traverse the increasingly electrified lines connecting Germany and France. Built between 1974 and 1975, this powerful electric locomotive quickly found its place hauling both express passenger and freight services across borders. Experience realistic train simulation as you drive this iconic train through challenging routes!

Imagine yourself at the controls, transporting goods through the scenic Mosel Valley. Even to this day it is recognized as being put to work on express passenger services, connecting Germany and France, and traversing the Mosel Valley. Freight work through to Luxembourg was also hauled by them, and as time went on, they were uses on EuroCity trains and even more international freight.
