The DB BR 440, also known as the Coradia Continental, first entered service in 2008, built to meet DB's need for a high-performance S-Bahn EMU capable of long-distance journeys and operating alongside ICE services. With a top speed of 160km/h (100mph), this train is more than capable, bringing challenging railway simulation to your screen. Environmentally conscious, up to 95% of this EMU is recyclable at the end of its life.

Developed from the BR 424/425 EMUs, the BR 440 features modern improvements, including roof-mounted underfloor equipment for a consistent lower floor, providing step-free access from platform to car. This design caters specifically to disabled passengers, offering spacious wheelchair areas and disabled toilets.
