Developed from University Passion to IGF Acclaim

The genesis of Shio began during its creator, Liao Yi's, university days. Conceived in the spare moments between studies, the Shio prototype was showcased at the 2014 IGF China (Independent Game Festival) Student Group.

From Prototype to Polished Platformer

At IGF China, Shio caught the attention of Coconut Island Games, bringing together a talented team including Deng Bu Ran (programming), Ge Xuanqing (level design), Cai Baowei (level design), and Li Lingyi (level design). Together, they transformed the initial prototype into the beautiful, challenging, and memorable platformer that Shio is today.
