Each virtual trade you execute incurs realistic costs, mirroring the dynamics of real financial markets. These fees directly impact your profits and losses, updated in real-time as prices fluctuate. Get ready to test your investment strategies and master the stock market simulator.
Quick Start Guide
Starting Up: Launch the game client to open the main window. It can be moved, resized, and minimized as needed. The game will load quickly, displaying a welcome message and a list of tradeable instruments.
Selecting a Trading Symbol: Choose a trading symbol (e.g., Solana - S) to access detailed information, including price charts, trading buttons, and margin requirements.
Trading Costs: Your profit or loss includes all trading costs ("spread" - broker fees + bid/ask spread) from the moment you execute a trade. The spread varies per symbol.
Profits and Losses: Monitor the "spread" between bid and ask prices on the chart. Profits and losses update in real-time, reflecting market prices and the current spread. To profit, the market price must move enough in your direction to cover the spread.

✄------------------------------------------------------------Timeframes and Price Charts
When you start the game and select a trading symbol, locate the blue number '5' (with ▲ and ▼ icons) in the top left corner of the game client. This number represents your selected timeframe in minutes, affecting both the main and score charts. The half-sized top chart covers six times the time period of the main chart, with a timeframe three times longer.
Mini-charts in the symbols list offer a fixed 1-minute timeframe, displaying detailed price movements from the past 25 minutes. An arrow indicates price movement direction: up (green), down (red), or unchanged (yellow).
Change your timeframe using the ▲ or ▼ icons. Available timeframes range from 1 to 60 minutes. The selected timeframe dictates how much "time" each price candle represents.
Each price candle comprises a body (thicker middle section) and wicks (thinner lines). Wicks, colored green (price up) or red (price down), indicate high and low prices during that period.
The body reflects open, average, and close prices. Color variations (two shades of green or red) denote price increases or decreases. Candles can have both red and green colors when the average price falls outside the open and close prices, indicating strong directional shifts.
Candles visually represent price movements, showing how the price changed from past (left) to present (right). A 1-minute timeframe shows minute-by-minute movements, while a 15-minute timeframe offers a broader, summarized view.
Longer timeframes provide insights into extended price movements while maintaining candle thickness for consistency, similar to zooming in/out. By adjusting information density, the chart offers a clearer understanding of market trends over longer periods.
In this game, the shortest timeframe is one minute. Watch the server clock in the top right corner; price charts update as each minute ends (seconds change from 59 to 0).
With each chart update, data from the oldest minute is shifted, accommodating new data. The rightmost candle always reflects the most recent price changes, keeping you informed.
Selecting a longer timeframe ensures data condensation across the chart, providing a comprehensive view. Although different from traditional "Japanese" candlesticks, our design complements them, allowing players to see the continuous flow of price movements. This is designed for dynamic, real-time market analysis.
Margin and Order Management
What is Margin? Margin is the capital a broker reserves in your account for leveraged trading. Leverage allows you to control a position worth many times your capital.
Leverage and Risk: Leverage increases both potential profits and losses. Brokers allocate a portion of your capital (required margin) and initiate margin calls in losing positions if you run out of capital.
Margin Calls: You can open multiple positions if you have sufficient free trading margin. If your trading margin drops below zero (red), the game initiates a margin call, simulating broker-forced position closures to prevent losses exceeding your capital. Positions incurring the biggest losses and requiring the most margin are closed first. Margin calls are rudimentary and require client being open for proper execution. Otherwise, a Margin Call might occur during next game start.
Market Orders: A market order buys or sells at the current market price, guaranteeing execution but not price. Buyers buy from sellers at the lowest ask, and sellers sell to buyers at the highest bid. These "taker" orders reduce market liquidity.
Limit Orders: A limit order sets a specific price (or better) for buying or selling, offering price control but not guaranteed execution. Limit orders are filled only if the market meets your requirements. By placing limit orders you will be adding to liquidity and be acting as a market "maker".
Market Maker vs Taker Fees: Market Makers pay lower broker fees than market Takers as they add liquidity to markets. This difference reflected in game, reducing fees for limit orders.
Order Book: The game displays a real-time order book (pink/cyan staircase) based on limit orders from real market participants with real market depth, showing liquidity in 24 steps based on the last 24 hours' price action.
Market Liquidity: Pink (seller) and cyan (buyer) staircases represent sell and buy limit orders above and below the index price. Flat staircases indicate high liquidity; steeper staircases suggest lower liquidity. The staircase wall thickness illustrates the strength of buying/selling pressure.
Opening Positions: Opening a position increases margin requirements and reduces free margin. Manage margin levels to avoid margin calls - watch your free margin.
Reducing required Margin: Close positions or reduce open volume to reduce margin requirements. The (💰|🔥|❌) "FLAT" button closes all positions.
Withdrawals / Decreasing Trading Margin: Decrease trading margin (withdrawal) using the down arrow (▼) which moves funds from available to locked margin, limiting drawdown risk, but only when free trading margin is positive. The use of this feature is possible only when your Free Trading Margin is green and positive.
Deposits / Increasing Trading Margin: Increase trading margin (deposit) using the up arrow (▲) which moves funds from locked to free, increasing drawdown risk, but only when locked margin is available and positive. The use of this feature is possible only when your Locked Margin is green and positive.
✄------------------------------------------------------------Base Game vs Downloadable Content (DLCs)
Price History: The base game provides real-time market data and 24 hours of price history. For extended history, get the History+ DLC for 7 days of history.
Order placement: The base game offers market buy (▲) and sell (▼) orders and close-all positions buttons (💰/🔥/❌). Get the Auto⚙️Trading DLC for stop-loss/limit orders.
Trading Capital: The base game starts with 1K credits ($1000 USD). Increase your capital permanently with Trading Margin DLCs (10K, 29K, 59K), up to a total of 99K credits.
✄------------------------------------------------------------Risk Management Techniques
Effective risk management is vital. These techniques can be applied even in the base game:
- Position Sizing: Allocate the right amount of capital to each trade.
- Diversification: Spread investments across instruments.
- Setting Loss Limits: Decide maximum loss per trade/day.
- Capital Preservation: Protect your trading capital for long-term success.
Trading Psychology
Trading is a mental game. Key psychological aspects include:
- Dealing with Loss: Accept losses without emotional reactions.
- Fear and Greed: Control these emotions.
- Maintaining Discipline: Stick to your trading plan.
- Patience: Wait for opportunities, avoid impulsive trades.
No Pay-to-Win Mechanics
A solid trading strategy, patience, and luck are necessary to win, regardless of DLC purchases.
- Price History:
- + Benefits: Extended price history enables deeper trend analysis and comprehensive strategy development for short-term traders and long-term investors. A broader perspective means improved pattern and trend reversal identification.
- - Considerations: Past performance is not indicative of future results if market conditions drastically change; market conditions and trends evolve.
- Auto-Trading:
- + Benefits: Automated trading enhances trading efficiency, consistency, and discipline. Stop-loss functionality enhances risk management.
- - Considerations: No strategy is infallible; automation can result in rapid losses. Regular strategy monitoring and adjustment is essential.
- More Capital:
- + Benefits: Increased capital enables larger trades and diversification.
- - Considerations: Increased capital also means increased risk. Manage the capital wisely and do not fall in the trap of overconfidence.
Disclaimers, Privacy Policy, and Data
- Not a Broker/Financial Advisor: This game is for entertainment/educational purposes only. It is not financial advice. Simulated results differ from real-world trading.
- Privacy Assurance: Your privacy is a top priority. The game requires an internet connection for server data access, but it's designed to protect your identity and trading activities. The game client on your PC doesn't transmit any personal, purchase, or gameplay data to our server.
-
Anonymized Data Access:
When starting the game via Steam, the client loads content anonymously and requests a Server-generated random 256-bit sequence as an account ID. Consequently, the game client utilizes this anonymized, Server-generated ID for accessing real-time market data. - Fast and Secure Connection: Communication between the game client and our Server is facilitated through the HTTP/2 protocol, secured with SSL encryption, utilizing a single connection and using SSE (Server-Sent-Events) for streaming real-time market data from our Server to connected Clients.
- Technology and Transparency: Our game uses NW.js (previously known as node-webkit) and the Steamworks SDK for integration with Steam. The game client is written entirely in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and the code is intentionally kept unobfuscated to maintain transparency and security.
- Market Data Source: We source the raw market data essential for this game in real-time from a reputable financial broker, utilizing their publicly accessible API. This usage strictly adheres to the broker's terms of use. Our objective in integrating this real-time data is to provide a realistic and immersive gaming experience for the players, without it being used for actual trading.
- Data Streaming Process: Our Server receives this raw market data in real-time from the broker, using a single WebSocket connection per Server. After establishing this connection, the Server subscribes to the broker's data feeds required by the game. The broker then sends their data and updates in real-time to the Server, at their own pace. This method ensures that we do not overload the broker’s Server. Our Server process this data to prepare everything required for game clients, package and compress it to minimize outgoing traffic, then distribute it to connected clients, ensuring a consistent and efficient flow.
- Market Data Quality and Availability Disclaimer: We aim to provide continuous and accurate market data for educational and simulated trading purposes. However, the quality and availability of that data rely on the broker's service, which is beyond our control. The data is accessed via a publicly available API and provided 'as is', for informational use only. Please note that we cannot guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of market data, and can not be held responsible for any unavailability or inaccuracies. Also, please be aware that the range of trading instruments featured in our game is based on the current offerings available through the broker's API. Should the broker alter or remove any of these instruments from their API, our game will be updated to reflect these changes. We cannot guarantee the continuous availability of any specific trading instrument in the game.
- Affiliation Disclaimer: This game and its developer/publisher are not affiliated with any broker/service.
