Terrain Cards

Introducing Terrain Cards! Certain game effects trigger the placement of these cards, overwriting existing spaces with new and exciting alternatives. Adapt your strategy as you navigate changed landscapes of the original game board in this board game expansion!

Burn & Fireproof Cards

Beware of the Burn effect! Cards can be removed from the game permanently, eliminating their influence unless specifically stated. Fortunately, some cards are Fireproof. These cards are immune to the ravages of flame and carry the iconic Fireproof symbol, adding another layer of strategic gameplay to the RPG experience.

Fireland Tokens

Navigate areas influenced by the Ifrit with caution! Fireland Tokens mark perilous spaces where even the most seasoned adventurers risk losing life. Only one token can occupy a space at a time, and they are forbidden within the Inner Region. Engage in resource management when traveling through these regions!

Strength / Craft

Face enemies with a choice! Many foes in The Firelands expansion possess both Strength and Craft values. Decide whether to engage in a traditional physical battle or a psychic duel, adding a new layer of role-playing depth to each encounter.

Dervish

The Dervish is a master of weaponry and seeks to prove his skills in every battle! As the Dervish:

• You begin the game with a Sword and a Water Bottle.
• One Weapon you are carrying does not count towards your capacity.
• You may use two weapons at the same time in battle.
• When you defeat an enemy in battle and take it as a trophy you immediately move a number of spaces equal to the defeated enemies strength. You can then encounter the space you landed on.

Nomad

The Nomad is accustomed to roaming the land and carefully approaches each encounter. As the Nomad:

• When you encounter a space not in the inner region, you may ignore all the printed text on that space and instead treat it as a “draw one card” space.
• When you encounter a Place card, you may choose to ignore it.
• Instead of moving normally you may spend 1 fate to stay in your current space and encounter it unless you used this ability on your last turn.

Jin Blooded

The Jin Blooded possesses magical prowess and can manipulate fate to their advantage! As the Jin Blooded:

• You begin the game with 2 spells.
• At the start of your turn you may discard 1 of your spells to gain 1 fate.
• When your turn ends you may spend 1 fate to draw 1 Spell, if your Craft allows.
• Whenever another character casts a Spell on you, your space or one of your cards, you either gain 1 fate or spend 2 fate to bind that Spell. If you bind a Spell it has no effect and you may immediately cast it on a new target.

Warlord

The Warlord is a cruel leader who sees followers as expendable sacrifices! As the Warlord:

• When you encounter a Follower you may immediately conscript it. Ignore all the text on the conscripted Follower and treat them as “Add 1 strength during battle”.
• When you defeat another character in battle you may take on of his Followers as a conscripted Followers, in addition to the normal reward.
• When you would lose a life you may discard one of your conscripted Followers to prevent the loss of that life.

A Hero Rises

The survival of the land is on the line. Claim victory in battle to earn fate. But beware, defeat will cost you. The first character to reach the Crown of Command with 13 or more fate wins the game!

Crown of Flame

Filled with rage, The Ifrit have replaced the Crown of Command with the Crown of Flame. With this hidden ending the Crown of Flame will be placed on the character that revealed the ending. Unlike the Crown of Command, the Crown of Fire causes the wearer to lose 1 Life, 1 Spell and 1 Object every turn. You can get rid of the Crown by landing on another character and passing it on. The last characters alive wins!

Spreading Flames

The Ifrit show no mercy throughout the lands of Talisman. The number of fire tokens will now be unlimited. As the hidden ending is revealed the characters must teleport to a space in the outer or middle region that does not contain another character. After teleporting, a fire token must be placed in the space adjacent to them. Before each turn, players must place a fire token on their space. Spaces can contain multiple fire tokens and players must take 1 life per fire token on their space. The last character alive wins!
