Game Modes

Story & Campaign

After a devastating defeat at the Battle of Beckron, you, as Lord Berrian, must rally former bannermen who have succumbed to Lord Karthor's influence. Forget dreams of glory; a wave of terror necessitates ever greater sacrifices to hold Karthor's forces at bay. Homeless and running out of time, you must traverse the vast lands of Valtoria to gather resources and recruit soldiers to your righteous cause.

Bannermen features a comprehensive single-player campaign, allowing you to immerse yourself in the world of Valtoria as its destined champion. Command your troops, liberate prisoners, infiltrate fortresses, manage crucial resources, and construct powerful buildings to secure victory in the escalating war. Master combat in diverse environments: utilize sandstorms to mask your movements, establish deadly traps for approaching enemies, or strategically detonate explosive barrels to obliterate your foes. Leverage your environment's unique aspects to gain a crucial edge on the battlefield.

Gameplay

Take direct, manual control of each unit, maximizing their potential with astute use of their unique abilities. To thrive as a commander, you must effectively manage your economic engine and strategically establish new outposts. The delicate balance between economic development and military strength, alongside the ability to upgrade to more advanced units at the opportune moment, forms the essence of Bannermen's strategic depth. Discover unique gameplay elements like the Temples, which grant access to devastating Nature Powers. These world-altering abilities vary based on the map and available Temple locations. Once a Temple is constructed, your enemies will be alerted, and a visible timer will commence, counting down until the Nature Power becomes available for use.

In AI skirmish mode, you can choose to control one of three powerful heroes (Lord Berrian, Lord Karthor, or Lady Vanya), each capable of leveling up throughout the match to unlock additional strengths. Gain levels by defeating neutral creeps or by eliminating enemy units, becoming an unstoppable force on the battlefield.
