Set in the late 20th century, the game follows K.C. Morgan, a non-binary Private Investigator turned Paranormal Investigator after the disappearance of their father, Richard Morgan, a Boston University professor and researcher. K.C.'s desperate search leads them to the Wright family mansion, an isolated estate off the coast of New England, where a malevolent presence has corrupted its inhabitants.

Within the mansion's foreboding walls, K.C. discovers evidence of unspeakable horrors: twisted experiments, tortured bodies, and scrolls crafted from human skin, filled with dark, forbidden lore that threatens to shatter reality itself. As K.C. ventures further into the mansion's depths, they must confront not only the external terrors but also the growing darkness within their own soul.
