Story

In a faraway land, a brave rooster lived peacefully with his flock of chickens. But their tranquility was shattered when a sly fox began kidnapping the chickens, one by one. Determined to save his feathered family, the rooster set out on a perilous journey to the fox's lair. Along the way, he discovered an incredible ability: he could shoot fire from his beak! Using this newfound power, he battled the fox's traps, freed the captured chickens, and eventually confronted the fox in a climactic showdown. Despite facing overwhelming odds, the rooster's courage never wavered. He defeated the fox, rescued his chickens, and returned home a hero. Thanks to his bravery, the chickens lived happily ever after, safe and sound. This is the end... or is it?

Developer Story

As a solo indie game developer, creating Rooster Tale, my very first game, has been an incredibly challenging but rewarding adventure. This pixel adventure follows the antics of a courageous pixel art rooster as he traverses through various 2D platformer levels filled with obstacles and enemies. I wanted to create a retro style game sure to entertain, which is why I used pixel graphics and incorporated elements of adventure and puzzle platforming! It features fun platform gameplay with strategy!

The challenging aspect of creating Rooster Tale was very important to me. I spent time playtesting and perfecting the challenges to make sure its fun and requires strategy. I hope it is a challenging side scroller, that is fun to play.

The process of creating Rooster Tale comes with its fair share of personal sacrifice. With spending countless nights coding and debugging, and questioning myself if I could complete the project! The feeling of of finally publishing Rooster Tale will be worth all the effort!
