The story unfolds in Donorok, a region within the state of Noctum. Following the mysterious disappearance of King Aster, chaos reigns supreme. Tensions between Monsters, Mongos, and Dreamers escalate, and Donorok begins to absorb surrounding territories. Balder seizes power and commands the monsters to imprison any child who enters the Nightmare. The key to Balder's continued rule lies with Billy, the Nightmare Boy.

Nightmare Boy began as a learning experience for programming and game development, but has turned into a game that the core team loves to play.
