The Reaper himself stalks the land, moving whenever a player rolls a 1. At the end of the player's turn, his fateful journey continues, and no region is safe from his grasp. Strategize and manipulate the Reaper's movements, sending him to plague your rivals. But beware, should the Reaper find you, you must roll a die against his deadly chart. Fail, and you could lose everything... even your life! Can you survive the Reaper's touch and claim the Crown of Command?

New Characters to Challenge Fate

The Reaper Expansion also brings four new characters to Talisman, each with unique abilities and motivations:

Dark Cultist

Embrace the shadows as the Dark Cultist, a master of psychic combat, devoted to the Forces of Darkness. She's a relentless force focused on claiming the Crown of Command and laying waste to any who stand in her path. When playing as the Dark Cultist:

• Attack other characters using psychic combat.
• Receive gifts from the Forces of Darkness upon defeating enemies or taking lives.
• Your alignment is always evil; ignore any effects that attempt to change it.

Knight

Stand as a beacon of hope as the Knight, a noble hero sworn to vanquish the evil that plagues Talisman. Armed with unwavering faith and formidable skills, he's a formidable opponent to the Reaper and other dark forces. When playing as the Knight:

• Begin the game with a Sword and Armour.
• Add 2 to your prayer roll results.
• You are always good; ignore any effects that attempt to change it.
• You may not attack good characters, except on the Crown of Command.

Merchant

Navigate the treacherous landscape as the Merchant, a shrewd negotiator and resourceful trader. Master the RPG elements of equipment and economics, using your silver tongue and abundant gold to survive. When playing as the Merchant:

• Begin the game with 5 gold.
• Evade Enemy Dragons and Monsters by paying 1 gold.
• Trade with other characters by exchanging objects.
• Buy and sell objects at villages and markets, utilizing special purchase powers.

Sage

Outwit the Reaper with the Sage, a wise scholar with a knack for foresight. Use your knowledge of the arcane and a little strategy to manipulate fate. When playing as the Sage:

• Begin the game with 1 Spell.
• Gain a Spell if you start your turn without any.
• View the top card of the Adventure and Spell decks.
• Reroll your movement die, accepting the second result.

The Danse Macabre at the Crown of Command

The stakes are higher than ever at the Crown of Command! Once you reach it and no other characters are present, you must unleash the Grim Reaper upon another player in any region, adding another layer to the strategic gameplay. But be warned - the Reaper is stronger than he appears. Players subtract 1 from their dice rolls when battling him, making the final confrontation a true test of skill and luck.
