BACKSTORY

Enter the dystopian world of Dissolution, set nearly three centuries after a devastating war on Earth. In a desperate attempt to halt a rampant AI advance, weapons of mass destruction were unleashed, leaving the planet in ruins. While most of humanity perished, scattered pockets of survivors fled to the solar system, clinging to the hope of rebuilding civilization. Though the AI production facilities were destroyed in the nuclear inferno, remnants of their forces remain, lurking in the dark corners of space.

Survival is a constant struggle. Resources are scarce, and the basic necessities like food and water require significant energy to obtain. From the ashes of the old world, the Inter-Planetary Defense Force (IPDF) emerged, tasked with maintaining peace, resolving conflicts, and protecting settlers from ruthless bandits who prey on the vulnerable. In this harsh reality, the very essence of humanity is threatened by famine, violence, and the ever-present danger of the remaining AI threat in deep space.

GAMEPLAY

Dissolution seamlessly blends intense FPS combat with thrilling space vehicle exploration, offering a unique and immersive gameplay experience. Dive into a dynamic in-game economy where every action has real consequences. Something as simple as mining and selling ore will impact commodity prices, factory operational costs, and the overall economy within Dissolution.

As a player, your choices matter. Choose to be a ruthless space pirate, ambushing trade routes and disrupting supply chains, or become a peaceful trader, carefully managing resources and building your wealth. As a pirate, if you attack a trading route, you will have the opposite effect of ore prices going up. Explore a sandbox environment where you can buy properties, acquire vehicles and weapons, engage in trading stocks and bonds, and participate in a free-floating economy driven by supply and demand. Embrace a pacifist lifestyle and avoid firearms altogether or ruthlessly pillage supply ships without mercy. A robust marketplace allows for direct player-to-player trading, creating a vibrant and dynamic economic ecosystem. Dissolution provides ultimate freedom to craft your own destiny.

DEVELOPMENT

Our dedicated team of four game developers is committed to crafting a unique space MMO experience with Dissolution. We have been in development for a year and a half and plan to hit 1.0 release in the future. The early access alpha is available for public testing and gameplay feedback.
