The Harbinger NPC

A mysterious figure bearing an ancient prophecy, the Harbinger foretells the end of the world. Drawn into play by Event Cards, the Harbinger moves across the board, unleashing chaos upon those who encounter them. Roll the die and face the consequences outlined in the Harbinger's roll chart. Once an Omen is discarded, the Harbinger retreats, awaiting the next catastrophic event.

New Gameplay Mechanics

The Harbinger Expansion introduces exciting new gameplay elements:

• Strength/Craft Enemies: Face formidable foes that can be challenged through either brute strength or psychic combat! Choose your battle wisely!
• Harbinger Cards: Drawn only when in the same region as the Harbinger NPC, these cards add a unique and unpredictable twist. Immunity to effects like the Orb of Knowledge makes them especially dangerous!
• Omen Cards: These cards drive the end times forward! Choose from four sets – Armageddon, Rise of the Dead, Stars Align, and Shattered World – each with eight cards triggering effects throughout the game. If the Omen stack is depleted, the game ends in defeat!

New Characters

Embark on your fantasy adventure with three new characters:

• Ascendant Divine: Harness divine gifts and influence to combat the encroaching darkness. Begin with four Spells (your divine gifts) that don't count against your spell limit. Gain more as you increase your Strength or Craft.
• Celestial: A beacon of hope sent from the Celestial City, always good, and blessed with fate. Manipulate fate and choose Psychic Combat against evil when attacking.
• Possessed: A vessel for demonic forces, always evil, and fueled by the life force of others. Strengthen yourself by defeating enemies and sacrificing strangers and places.

Endgame Scenarios

The fight for survival comes to a head with new endgame conditions:

• End of Days: Face the terrifying Beast guarding the Crown of Command! Defeat this powerful Demon in Battle or Psychic Combat to claim victory.
• Armageddon Crown: A character on the Crown of Command rolls for the crown each turn. While a character is on the Crown of Command, all draw Harbinger Cards instead of Adventure cards. If the last omen is discarded, all characters on the Crown of Command win. Otherwise the last character alive wins.
