The Arma 3 Jets DLC is accompanied by a comprehensive platform update, free for all Arma 3 owners, which features significant enhancements to core gameplay mechanics and introduces new supporting features such as:

• Sensor Overhaul: Experience a new radar interface with Active Radar and Infrared sensor technology. Vehicles can now engage in beyond visual range (BVR) combat. Data Link enables vehicles to share sensor data for enhanced cooperation in the realistic military simulation.
• Extended Hitpoints: Experience a more detailed damage model for fixed-wing aircraft. Engine failures, fuel leaks, and malfunctioning HUDs add a new layer of challenge to your missions, increasing the realism of the open world gameplay.
• Dynamic Vehicle Loadouts: Customize your aircraft's armament by choosing specific ordnance for each pylon. This much-requested feature, compatible with other vehicle classes and moddable, enhances strategic depth and tactical flexibility.
• Other Improvements: Enjoy an enhanced flying experience with audio improvements, refined controls, and new scripted features like ejection seat emergency procedures, enhancing immersion and control while playing.

Supporting Content: Naval Power and Advanced Defense Systems

• Aircraft Carrier "USS Freedom" (CVN-83)*: A nuclear-powered aircraft carrier serving as a central NATO operating base. This massive vessel supports a variety of aircraft and helicopters and is equipped with autonomous defensive weapon systems.
  • Praetorian 1C AAA: A close-range anti-aircraft artillery system armed with 20mm Vulcan rounds.
  • Mk-49 Spartan SAM & Mk-21 Centurion SAM: Surface-to-air missile systems designed to protect against aerial threats, with IR-guided short-range and radar-guided medium-range missiles.
• Destroyer Ship "USS Liberty"*: A powerful destroyer serving as part of the carrier strike group. It can carry troops, equipment, and a helicopter, supporting amphibious assaults and providing vital battlefield support.
  • Mk45 120mm naval gun: Provides heavy firepower capability in close to medium ranges.
  • Mk41 Vertical Launch System: Provides precision strike capability in medium to long ranges.
• Radar & SAM Systems: New autonomous radar and missile systems added to NATO and CSAT arsenals. These systems provide medium- to long-range aerial threat detection and defense. CSAT deploys the R-750 Cronus radar and S-750 Rhea SAM, while NATO uses the AN/MPQ-105 radar and MIM-145 Defender SAM.
• Anti-Radiation Missiles & Small Diameter Guided Bomb: Both sides get new anti-radiation missiles for targeting active radar sensors. NATO fighter jets also gain access to precision-guided small diameter bombs for air-to-surface engagements. This greatly increases the military strategy and number of options when facing and planning missions.
• Official Soundtrack: A new music track complements the high-octane action of aerial combat, further increasing the realism and atmosphere throughout the game.
• Achievements: A set of additional Steam Achievements to unlock, providing both casual and serious simulation gamers with more goals and challenges.

*The aircraft carrier and destroyer are static in-game objects that can be positioned across the map via the 3D Scenario Editor, but cannot be 'driven'. Both ships feature functional autonomous defensive weapon systems. Additionally, the carrier supports catapult take-offs and tailhook landings, and the destroyer is capable of launching and recovering small naval vessels and helicopters.
