A Tale of Sky Adventurers

Set in 19th Century Europe, at the dawn of powered flight, GunBird tells the story of five "Sky Adventurers" (Gunbards), each with their own desires and piloting skills, pursuing fragments of the scattered Magic Mirror. Embark on a shoot 'em up adventure across the globe and uncover their hidden ambitions.

Gameplay and Features

Experience classic arcade shooting with simple controls: an 8-way joystick and two buttons. Unleash devastating special attacks unique to each character by charging the shot button! Collect items to power up your shots through four stages of destruction. Enjoy 2-player simultaneous play for even more chaotic fun, with the ability to join mid-game!

Meet the Sky Adventurers

Marion (The Little Great Wizard)

This 13-year-old English wizard, claiming to be a descendant of Merlin, uses wind magic and her broom to fly. Despite her inexperience, she hides a strong-willed personality and sinister ambitions. Her special attack is the Fire Rabbit, and her Bomb is the Wind Shaper.

Yuan-Nang (Chinese Female Mage)

A mysterious and beautiful mage from China, Yuan-Nang employs dubious mystical arts and can create clouds for flight. Driven by a desire to challenge stronger opponents, she seeks the Magic Mirror. Her special attack is the Ruyi Staff Hell Punch, and her bomb is the Clone Assault Squad.

Ash (Sky Adventurer Scientist)

A cool and collected scientist and archaeologist from Germany, Ash is driven by curiosity and the spirit of adventure. He’s equipped with his self-made "Rocket Pack," making him a formidable force in the sky. Ash's special attack is the Wave Blast, and his bomb is the Super Science Bomb.

Valnus (Flying Robot Soldier)

Developed by the Imperial Russian military, Valnus is the ultimate flying autonomous weapon. Equipped with a rocket propulsion system and various weapons, this robot is programmed to retrieve the Magic Mirror. His special attack is the Rocket Punch, and his bomb is the VALNUS Buster.

Tetsu (The Master Carpenter of Love and Guts)

A solitary Japanese master carpenter with astonishing strength, Tetsu uses a man-powered helicopter he built himself! Driven by the legend of the Magic Mirror, he embarks on one final adventure. His special attack is the Dragon Rocket Barrage, and his bomb is the Great Edo Fire.
