Fifteen years ago, the first colonists landed on Gagarin-5, embarking on a long and arduous, yet fulfilling, journey to make this alien world our home. Now, these memories are bittersweet echoes of a bygone era.

In a matter of days, everything changed. A creeping corruption consumed our settlements, waves of crimson wiped out our mushroom farms, and colossal worms devoured entire cities. Only a few thousand souls managed to escape to emergency bases. Now, the living corruption lies dormant, sleeping during the day but slowly growing at night, a landscape riddled with tumors, blights, and pulsating pink lights. But this period of relative peace is our chance, our only hope, to cleanse Gagarin-5 and fight back against the encroaching threat. We must reclaim our home!

Gameplay: Tower-Based RTS with a Twist

Protolife is a unique tower-based RTS where you defend a distant human colony against a relentless, growing lifeform that devours everything in its path. Build intricate defenses from the most basic element, a single block. Rescue the scattered settlements and cleanse the planetary surface of corruption. Originally conceived as a Ludum Dare 38 game jam project, Protolife has been completely redesigned with updated graphics and a wealth of new content, all while retaining its core concept: construct towers block by block, contain the enemy, survive the nightly onslaught, and strike back to reclaim your territory in this strategic tower defense RTS.
