• Civ Unique Ability: Taxis. Bolster your forces! Units gain Combat Strength or Religious Strength for each Holy City converted to Byzantium's Religion. Byzantium's Religion spreads after victories, and Holy Sites generate bonus Great Prophet points, accelerating your religious dominance.
• Leader Unique Ability: Porphyrogénnētos. Basil's unique ability allows Heavy and Light Cavalry to deal full damage even against cities following Byzantium's religion. Plus, gain the powerful Tagma unit upon discovering the Divine Right civic.
• Unique Unit: Dromon. Replacing the Quadrireme, the Dromon boasts extended range and increased Combat Strength, giving you naval superiority in coastal warfare.
• Unique Unit: Tagma. Replacing the Knight, the Tagma provides adjacent land units with invaluable Combat Strength or Religious Strength, turning your army into an unstoppable force.

Specialize without constraint, since specialty districts cannot be built next to the City Center and don't receive adjacency from other districts.
• Leader Unique Ability: King of the Eburones. Ambiorix grants bonus Culture based on unit cost whenever a non-civilian unit is trained, accelerating your cultural progression. Plus, your melee, anti-cavalry, and ranged units gain additional Combat Strength per adjacent combat unit.
• Unique Unit: Gaesatae. Replacing the Warrior, the Gaesatae is more expensive but gains bonus Combat Strength when fighting stronger units or defending against district defenses, making them formidable early-game fighters.
• Unique District: Oppidum. Available sooner and cheaper than the Industrial Zone, the Oppidum unlocks the Apprenticeship technology immediately.
