Agarest: Generations of War boasts a suite of unique features that set it apart from other strategy RPGs.

Extended Area: Master the "Linked Area" system for both your party and enemies. Each character possesses a uniquely shaped extended area. During a character's turn, allies within that area (and the extended areas of those allies) can combine their attacks, creating powerful chains, unlocking advanced Arts, and unleashing massive Combos!

Blacksmith's Guild: Enhance and transform your equipment at the Blacksmith's Guild through two unique methods:

Enhancement: Upgrade equipment to a maximum of Level 5. Upon reaching Level 5, convert the item into something entirely new. This transformation is irreversible, encouraging experimentation to discover powerful hidden items.

Alchemy: Combine multiple items to forge a single, more potent piece of equipment. While you lose the component items, you gain a powerful new item and unlock it permanently in the Shop! Be warned, however: sometimes a Smithing Accident occurs, resulting in a different item than intended.

The "Soul Breed" System: Agarest spans five generations, beginning with Leonhardt. Throughout each generation, build relationships with three different female party members. At the end of each generation's arc, choose one to marry.

The strength of your relationship with your chosen wife, along with her inherent abilities, will directly influence the skills and stats of the main character in the next generation. Multiple playthroughs are essential to unlock the full potential of this system and explore the vast range of character possibilities.
