How to Play Gem Rush: A Quick Guide

On your turn, move your dwarf up to 3 steps within the mine, then perform one action. The goal is to build rooms and collect gems to earn points.

Building Rooms for Victory

Building rooms is crucial for scoring points! If you move into a space where a room doesn't exist, you must build it. Spend cards from your hand that match the gems displayed on the door you wish to construct. Most cards contain two gems and can be used as either or both. Choose the rotation of the new room and seamlessly integrate it into the expanding mine.

Collecting Gems and Utilizing Room Abilities

Use your action to activate a room's special ability and draw more gem cards. Each room has unique rules for drawing cards, so carefully select the right room to leverage your circumstances. Alternatively, if no room seems beneficial, you can always draw a single card instead.

Remember to manage your hand size! If you have more than 4 cards at the start of your next turn, you'll need to discard down to 4.

Winning the Gem Rush Challenge

In Rush Mode, players compete against each other to be the first to reach the target point total.

In Crisis Mode, players work together against the clock, battling to reach the target score before the ever-depleting card deck runs out.
