With these, you may expect some difficulties that may involve only minor things like using the touchscreen to navigate through a game’s launcher, although it’s possible to stumble upon a bit more serious issues like the in-game text being way too small to read. Luckily, there aren’t too many titles that suffer from the more severe “symptoms”. Right now, you can play Factorio with a bit of PC icons appearing here and there or be amazed by NieR:Automata, having to use on-screen keyboard from time to time. Nothing too frustrating, if you in our humble opinion.

Obviously, the more games Valve checks for their compatibility with its handheld, the more “Playable” titles will be included in the list of Steam Deck supported games. Even though there’s no escaping this, there’s no denying that such titles will receive technical support. Who knows, maybe we’ll be able to play them as if they were designed for Steam Deck from the very beginning? Let’s hope this happens, and that it happens soon.
